Mista Trick is a producer and DJ of all things Swing n Bass. Electro Swing with Drum n Bass. He has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Nozstock, Swingamajig and Shambala. As well as touring around most of Europe in Zurich, Sofia, Vienna, Paris, Lyon, Alicante, Brussels and Barcelona.
Taking the sounds of the 1920s and fusing it with hiphop, house and drum n bass Mista Trick has created his own unique genre of music that has had people dancing all over the world.
His remix of The Andrews Sisters track Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy has racked up over 280K views on his Facebook page and 142K views for his remix of Swinging Together by Elle & the Pocketbelles. Elle & the Pocketbelles have been established for well over 6 years and have brilliant vintage sound that brings a unique flavour to the sound.
These sassy and stylish ladies quite simply sizzle on stage and will captivate you. The statuesque Elle and her pocket-sized Belles perfectly embody the class and glamour of the Golden Era. Performing a cappella, to track, or accompanied by their 3-piece or 5-piece Swing Band; these vintage beauties are sure to get your toes-a-tappin’ and your arms-a-flappin’ with their take on classic favourites and contemporary hits as well as their original songs.
Since their first show at The Imperial War Museum 6 years ago, the band have gone on to perform all over the UK and Internationally; at prestigious venues such as The Ritz, Café De Paris, Quaglino’s, Bloomsbury Ballroom and Annabels.
Mista Trick has produced remixes for Molotov Jukebox, Sam and The Womp, Swingrowers, Jamie Berry, Lamuzguele, Future Shape of Sound, R.A. The Rugged Man, Marcella Puppini Extra Medium, Marcelle Kiwistar Flechette, Josh and Le Chat. Releasing tracks on Ragtime Records, Pashmount Music, Breakbeat Paradise and Sony Records.
In 2017 Mista Trick took Swing n Bass to the next level, introducing a live 6-piece band with vocals from Elle & The Pocket Belles and rapper Gambit Ace. This exciting new fusion brings together traditional swing, bass, old school hip-hop and electric guitar. The band can perform as a 2 piece (Dj and Vocalist) up to 11 piece with drums and brass section.
