To date, Clean Bandit have sold over 13 million singles and 1.6 million albums.

Deriving their name from a Russian phrase that translates roughly as ‘complete bastard’, Clean Bandit was formed when band members Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson and Neil Amin-Smith met while studying as undergraduates at Cambridge University. The group created a fusion of classical strings with dance music that crystallised into their first hit ‘Mozart’s House’. The single, which featured the composer’s String Quartet No. 21, was released on their own label Incredible Industries and received support from DJs like Nick Grimshaw, Annie Mac, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens and Fearne Cotton. Clean Bandit gained attention for their lively concerts, which evoked classic Basement Jaxx by filling the stage with dance crews.

Clean Bandit have established themselves as a UK singles chart institution with collaborations with high-profile artists including Sean Paul, Marina and the Diamonds, Zara Larsson and Julia Michaels. In addition to shooting their own music videos, running a record label and DJing, Clean Bandit have given performances at major music festivals including Coachella, Bestival and Field Day.
