In 2000 Cherish Finden led the Singapore Pastry Team to first place with 8 gold medals at The IKA Culinary Olympics. In 2012, Cherish was awarded Pastry Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Early Promise
Cherish Finden was born in Singapore and has been an avid cook since the young age of nine. She took on the responsibility to help around the house and created her own menu each week. Her first step into the world of baking came when she volunteered at a cake shop at age thirteen which soon developed into a part time job where she began to shape her skills and fell in love with the world of cooking. From here she had some formal culinary training before going on to join the Sheraton Towers as a trainee. Cherish Finden soon found that her passion lay in working with pastry because of the opportunity to be creative and use the imagination. This spark of passion also led to her attending art courses to further build on her artistic talents, and she views pastry as a form of ‘edible art’.

Cherish Finden’s Patisserie Career
Her ambitions and talent have led Cherish Finden to achieve a very successful career in the world of patisserie. Recognising the potential of working in London she moved over and joined the Great Eastern Hotel as a pastry sous chef, here she built up a reputation and her confidence grew. This in turn led to Cherish Finden becoming Head Pastry Chef at the Marriott Hotel, then before going on to join prestigious 5-star hotel The Langham as executive pastry chef in 2009. From here her career soared to new heights as she garnered attention and won a variety of awards for her work. In 2017 she also her expertise found her a role at GODIVA chocolatier as Creative Development Chef, in turn delighting customers with her intricate and innovative creations. Her incredible work has also led to her becoming a judge on Bake Off: The Professionals, sharing her wisdom and critique on the contestants work with well-earned ruthlessness. In addition, she also made appearances on MasterChef, Bake Off: Extra Slice and Junior Bake Off.

Cherish Finden’s Awards and Accolades
Blazing a trail and setting trends with her inspiring pastries Cherish Finden has established herself as one of the leading figures in the world of patisserie and won countless awards for her efforts. Cherish Finden has won 25 medals, 18 of which are golds, at several competitions such as the International Culinary Olympics. She was also awarded the Tea Guild’s Top London Afternoon Tea Award in 2010 and Pastry Chef of the Year in 2012 by the Craft Guild of Chefs.
