Alex Polizzi is a British hotelier, and the current presenter of the TV series The Hotel Inspector on Channel 5. also presents her own programme, ‘Alex Polizzi – The Fixer’ on BBC2. Polizzi comes from a long line of hoteliers, her grandfather being Lord Forte. Her mother, the hotel designer Hon. Olga Polizzi, CBE, is Lord Forte’s daughter and the sister of Sir Rocco Forte.
Alex Polizzi studied English at Oxford University, trained at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, and worked for Marco Pierre White before working in the family business The Rocco Forte Collection in Cardiff, Rome and St. Petersburg.
After Alex worked for Marco Pierre White at the Criterion, she moved on to work at various Rocco Forte hotels around the world. Alex Polizzi became an established hotelier, and in 2008 took her experience to the TV show ‘The Hotel Inspector’.
After the success of her TV show, Alex went on to publish her first book, Alex Polizzi’s Little Black Book of Hotels.
