Steve hails from Newcastle in the North East of England. Although a Geordie born and bred, Steve is sought after not only in the UK, but all over Europe. His CV is second to none as a host, compère or facilitator for everything from black tie corporate events to family fun days. With his vast and diverse experience you couldn’t make a better choice. If you have an auction, Steve will ensure he gets the most out of the audience. He does this without patronising or brow beating, but with humour and enthusiasm.
You can guarantee Steve will get as much as it is possible to raise. It has been commented on many times by event organisers that if you book Steve as your compere and auctioneer, the extra money that he raises will more than pay his fee for the whole evening! Steve has a vast experience of conducting question and answer sessions as a part of the evenings entertainment or conference. He has the ability to make the session fun, lively and informative, whilst giving the guests the freedom to answer in their own time. Steve can make the guest feel comfortable and cover as and when needed.
Steve has conducted question and answers with Clive Anderson, the late Sir Bobby Robson, Simon King and Dave Myers (“The Hairy Bikers”) and many more. Steve can often be seen singing and entertaining on leading cruise ships and in five star hotels. Whether your requirement is background music which is entertaining yet unobtrusive, or more of a punchy set for people to dance to and party the night away, you couldnt make a better choice.
Steve gets asked quite a lot these days for a Rat Pack, Swing or Jazz set. This is very popular for weddings and corporate events. Steve can cover classics from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Bobby Darin, right through to modern day “crooners” such as Michael Buble. Steve can incorporate this kind of set into a Casino, Vegas and James Bond themed evening.

Here’s what Steve – Compere’s clients said:
Steve was a fantastic MC for our Awards dinner in Brussels in September this year. He established a great rapport with guests and award winners alike and really kept the momentum of the evening going. His passion for the Beatles was evident when he introduced the entertainment for the evening, the Bootleg Beatles, in such a way to whet the crowds appetite. We look forward to working with Steve again in the future.

A massive thank you for hosting the Oyster Festival last Friday at Hardwick Hall (and of course the Lobster Fest in May) As always, you were first class, and took any worries away from me and the team on the day. This is the sixth year in a row you have hosted for us (I think you can safely say you have passed the audition!) I thought it was about time I told you how much we appreciate what you do for us on our events. The whole show was a great success, and everyone agreed that Patrick Kielty was superb as our guest comedian. Before you put anything in your diary for 2010, make sure the 7th May and 10th September are down for us for the Oyster Festival and Lobster Fest. It wouldnt be the same without you!
Steve really made the evening for us. We had so many of our guests complimenting him not only on his voice, but also his choice of songs. Our first dance was lovely, and something we will never forget. We saw Steve at a friends wedding at Ramside Hall eighteen months ago, and once we had, we knew we had to book him for ours, we would advise any future bride and groom to do the same
