Colouring-In Walls
Scott makes streetwise artworks that are an invitation to play. His unique hand drawn graphics take inspiration from years of cartoon illustration and urban culture, they are big and bold and loads of fun.
But, this is not ‘mere colouring in’ – it’s a bold expedition, a colourscape of many contributions and just the thing for persons of all ages to take colouring to another level
With his amazing paint pens, Scott draws on considerable experience to work with participants throughout the day, strengthening the design and encouraging positive colouring ex-perimentation. The pens are water based and non-toxic yet they are the brightest and boldest pens most people would have ever used.
Witness a participatory artwork on a wonderful scale, this ever popular event has huge creative potential and the resulting community artwork (which is yours to keep) is a vibrant people powered joy – as well as an attention-grabbing photo opportunity.
Where there’s a wall there’s a way, but not just a wall, a floor, a window or a free standing structure will do nicely. Incorporate your event or company logo, choose from various themes or have one designed especially for the occasion.
Primary Schools
Recently Scott has been using a system of shapes developed from his sketchbooks to create peculiar cartoon forms with children. Experimenting and exploring the manifold combinations and consequent creatures the shapes take on has been a great success.
Confident ‘budding artists’ as well as reluctant ‘avoiders of blank pages’ have enjoyed instant and surprising results that, when deconstructed as a drawing lesson, help make the artistic process accessible to all abilities
Inspiration for the art works can range from specialized ‘fantastic creature’ workshops or be subject based such as wildlife, farm or curriculum oriented themes. The bold graphic framework allows all abilities to join in the colouring process and may also incorporate words. Interesting colour combinations and dazzling patterns are then ‘re- framed’ by the graphic producing a bright and vibrant art work ready for varnishing and display.

TESTIMONIALS
Here’s what Scott Cartoon Artist – Colouring-In Walls’s clients said:
“… Its gone from a plain wall to a brilliant wall!”
Westover School
“The end result was fabulous. The designs and colours are bright and bold and they are on display around the outside of the school building. They have transformed what were dull walls. The children all loved working with Scott. They were interested in learning about him as an artist and seeing examples of his work. They found him inspiring and responded really well to his demonstrations and encouragement. His interaction with the children of all ages was excellent. This term Scott worked with us again to create a Community Art Wall in the playground. He used more of the children’s design outlines on a long smooth wall and during our village Fun Day everyone in the community came along and coloured them in using the paint pens. The paint pens are excellent as they make no mess and dry almost instantly.”
Tregadillett Primary School
“…everyone agrees what a great success the wall (and you!) were and we all hope that we will be able to work with you on future projects.”
Network Rail
“…Scott communicated very effectively with me, as the teacher, which made it very easy for us to function as a team with him as the facilitator and me dealing with class management. He understood my aims well and was able to deliver what I had asked for. Overall I was delighted with the session; the children had an excellent experience, as the feed back from the class was unanimously very positive. “
Halterworth Community Primary School
“…The project at Westover School incorporated the skills and talents of 54 Year 4 children and the able artists within the school, 21 in number. The whole of the school staff were also keen to draw on the walls so we invited them to participate as well. Scott and I planned well together in advance so both adults were familiar with objectives and expected outcomes. The staff involvement was brilliant and the children responded to the challenge with confidence and maturity, a really successful venture.”

“Scott worked with two year six classes at Milton Park Primary School, Weston-Super-Mare recently. He arrived promptly and was extremely well prepared, bringing all necessary equipment with him. This consisted of art materials and paint pens, which were new to the children, so the whole experience for them was original and stimulating. Scott engaged the children in drawing activities which they could all take part in and then this led on to the actual task in hand. The children and staff described the experience as ‘fun’, ‘creative’, ‘colourful’, ‘cool’, ‘different’, ‘arty’, ‘unusual’ and ‘I want to do it again!’. We thoroughly recommend Scott for this type of work after witnessing his artistic skill and his ability to interact effectively with everyone. “

“The quality of performers was excellent and they were all very helpful and co-operative given the atrocious weather we had on occasion. Everyone turned up on time and were lovely.”
