MIB – Party & Function Band | UK

MIB have been performing together as a band, in various formats since 2000, performing all over the world at thousands of events – from small birthday parties in a private garden, to performing to a reported 300,000 people in Hyde Park, to celebrate the Royal Wedding in 2011. We specialise in corporate events, awards ceremonies, weddings, birthday parties, festivals… and are hugely flexible in the services we can offer. If you’re looking for a live band to get your guests out of their chairs, onto the dance-floor for an unforgettable evening of music, we would love to be that band! It is our absolute mission, to give everyone a great time and an excuse to let their hair down!

Whilst a dance-floor full of smiling guests is our speciality, we also get called on for all sorts of other services. We’ve been performing together for so long, its hard to find another band with such chemistry and flexibility to tailor performances to whatever you need it to be – so we’re often asked to provide stings for awards ceremonies (whilst guests walk on and off stage), or to put together a package for a full day’s live music at a wedding (including ceremony music and dinner options), or even to back celebrities in hosting events!

Many years ago now, we were asked to back the amazing and hilarious Rob Brydon, who was hosting an awards ceremony, and our client was keen to have him sing a few musical numbers with us. Our chemistry with Rob was something special, and what followed was a very spontaneous evening of him leading us in and out of songs, whenever he felt like working a song into the routine (completely improvised – we never knew what he was coming up with next!). With that being a roaring success, this led on to us being called to back other comedians, such as Jack Whitehall, Jonathan Ross, Julian Clary and Lenny Henry! We love being given this sort of challenge and working on our toes!

We are all musicians in our own right, and work for other artistes as well as MIB. We find that this keeps things fresh, and we feel its the reason why our onstage vibe is always fun, because we’re also often touring the world with artistes like Take That, Rudimental, Robbie Williams, Jools Holland, The Spice Girls, Rita Ora, Girls Aloud, Emeli Sande, Jamie Cullum, Lily Allen and until a few years ago, the late, great Amy Winehouse, just to name a few. Its a really great feeling to ‘come home’ to MIB.

Options Available Include:

5 piece band: Female vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards

7 piece band: as 5piece plus 2 piece brass section
9 piece band: as 7piece plus 2 female backing vocalists
