Karate & Kabuki Dance Show

This Karate & Kabuki dance show is the only style with which a dynamic part of “Movie film” and a powerful part of a “Live performance” are combined. Katsumi has made this style first in the world.

Katsumi combine feature movement and the rhythm of Karate and Kabuki that is the traditional culture of Japan with dance and created original dance style. Japan’s traditional culture has “Japanese Cool” crystallized in it.

Katsumi first started to study about the uniqueness of Japan’s traditional culture, and realized that KARATE stances and KABUKI poses have distinct rhythm and movements. They extracted this rhythm and movement, and created a totally new type of dance style from them.

This is the “ORIENTARHYTHM” which was created in 1991. Especially, their style which uses Nunchaku (karate’s self-defense tool) are dynamic and sharp movement!! Through this original dance style, they would like to introduce “Japanese Cool” to everybody around the world. They also hope that their karate and kabuki dance performances will become a catalyst to generate an interest in Japanese culture.
