Book The Hot Seven
Trad Jazz Band
The Hot Seven were formed back in 2003 as a new generation of early trad jazz band. They provide great entertainment for corporate events and more. The ensemble contains today’s young up-and-coming players, all of whom continue to revitalise the scene with their flair, excitement and enthusiasm. They play trad jazz with a style that is matched by none. The band now includes the sound of a fantastic male jazz singer. These great entertainers come in many different sizes from three to seven, so there is something for everyone no matter what size the venue is. If you are looking for wedding entertainment, this band would be a great choice.
All members are full time London professionals and some of the leading musicians in their field. The Hot Seven are building on a fast growing prestigious reputation for being one of the most reliable bands in the UK.
Establishing a high level of consumer confidence, the band’s credibility in today’s market is clearly evident from its extensive list of widely recognised and extremely satisfied clientele.
The Hot Seven offer many line up variations in order to accommodate all venue sizes, budgets and events.
Available Options Include:
7 Piece Cornet, Clarinet, Sax, Trombone, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums
6 Piece Cornet, Clarinet, Trombone, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums
5 Piece Cornet, Clarinet, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums
4 Piece (option 1) Clarinet/Sax, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums
4 Piece (option 2) Cornet, Clarinet, Banjo, Sousaphone
3 Piece Clarinet, Banjo, Sousaphone
The Hot Six and Seven piece bands now include the sound of a fantastic male singer. The perfect ensembles for those wanting the sophisticated sound of the jazz singer to the group. The band also offers music for dancing. In this case, use of the drums is quite important and so we would advise a minimum 4 piece line up consisting of 1 Horn, Banjo, Sousaphone, Drums. More front line instruments can be added to build up the sound.
The Hot Seven instrumental players are able to stroll apart from the drummer. A minimum 3-piece line up of 1 horn, Banjo, Sousaphone is advisable. More front line instruments can be added to create a larger more prominent sound.
The band also have ideal line ups for background music. I.e. 3-piece or 4-pieces offer perfect combinations where swapping the drums in the 4-piece for another horn is advisable. This choice is well suited to Wedding receptions.
For those on a budget but still wanting the ‘big’ sound, the 5-piece ensemble maintains the authentic sound of the Hot Seven as it uses 2 front line instruments.
The 7-piece or 6-piece band has a large sound so depending on the size of the performance space, this is the perfect ensemble for creating a timeless impression.

You guys must be the best New Orleans band outside of New Orleans!
Thank You so much for all the wonderful music on Saturday; you really enhanced the wedding reception.
We had an amazing time on the 2nd December 2006 -The Cotton Club theme just came together with the Hot Seven playing the really authentic 20/30s New Orleans Jazz, the dance floor was full all evening. You must book these guys!!! They are the best.
The band was fantastic, completely making the evening for us. It was great to have a fun, young group of talented guys who really seemed to want to be there. I can’t wait to have them back for our next event; I would like to think it could become something of a tradition.

Thank you for performing so well at my wife’s ‘big birthday party’ recently, your excellent music added a great deal to the occasion. It was a long evening and for you to play so many sets with such untiring enthusiasm were itself very impressive. In brief we couldn’t have asked for anything better, and would recommend you to anyone.
They were both great. The band were a pleasure to work with and were incredibly flexible on timings and location, and the stilt walkers the same. They both drew a bit of a crowd and created a good atmosphere for the event so please pass on my thanks to all the performers involved. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for organising the band. I’m not exaggerating when I say they made the event! Everyone was talking about them and the caterer has asked for your details for maybe future bookings. I’ve sent my feedback form out so any comments will pass on.
