He now presents BBC Radio 1’s drive time show which runs from 4-7pm every weekday, additionally he is the main presenter covering international cricket for BT Sport.
As well as his time spent presenting cricket he has had several other television roles, one of which is on ‘Dead Air’ a BBC3 comedy that Greg James also co-wrote as well as starred in. Additionally he is a co-presenter for music show ‘Sounds Like Friday Night’ alongside A.Dot, has appeared on comedy show Murder in Successville and co-hosted The Invictus Games with sports presenter veteran Clare Balding.
Greg James has also won a number of awards for his work, including a Sony Award for ‘Not Just Cricket’, his BBC Radio 5Live show, a Gold Radio Academy award for Best Entertainment Show and a Student Radio Award for Best Male Presenter. He is also a dedicated fundraiser for charities, taking part in a number of activities to raise money on shows such as Sports Relief and BBC Children in Need. One such challenge was his ‘Gregathlon’ where he completed five triathlons, in five days, across five UK cities which raised over £1MILLION in support of Sport Relief, which he also later went on to host in the live telethon.
Furthermore, Greg James also put his imagination to the test, pairing up with Radio 1 presenter Chris Smith to write a children’s book named ‘Kid Normal’, it was published last year and was shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize.
