British: Skinner’s Rats – Traditional British Folk | UK

The three members of this Kent-based Ceilidh band have been playing together for more years than they care to remember and have acquired considerable performing experience in a wide variety of venues as well as a supportive local following built up over thirty years.

Skinners Rats comprises Barry who plays fiddle and leads all the up-tempo numbers; Peter provides rhythm and colour with his accordion and the Amazing Harry plays guitar, calls and performs magical illusions! A separate caller may be added if required.

Over the years this energetic band has performed all over the South of England and in continental Europe, gaining an impressive reputation for reliability, strong musical performances and extensive repertoire encompassing English, Irish and Scottish traditional folk styles.

Skinners Rats have played at hundreds of weddings and know just a little bit about entertaining and creating a memorable occasion, as clients and guests have testified. This popular Ceilidh band shows no sign of losing its vitality or ageing (despite appearances)!
