Book Bradley Walsh
(Bradley Walsh became a household-name playing the lovable rogue Danny Baldwin in the UK’s highest rating TV show, Coronation Street. He can currently be seen hosting ITV’s popular game show The Chase, as well as starring in Law & Order UK.
Whilst playing Danny, Bradley received three Best Actor nominations at The National Television Awards. After leaving Coronation Street he filmed an emotional three-part ITV drama entitled Torn, and fulfilled one of his own ambitions: acting in a Dickens costume drama The Old Curiosity Shop alongside Sir Derek Jacobi.
Bradley has played the lead role in all seven series of the hugely successful Law and Order UK. Bradley’s character, the lively and loveable Detective Sergeant Ronnie Brooks, is a police veteran with a humanist view. A recovering alcoholic, Brooks has two ex-wives and two daughters and has continued in the force after the death of his partner and surrogate son Matt Devlin (played by Jamie Bamber). The latest series saw Bradley Walsh partnered with young Detective Sergeant Sam Casey, played by Paul Nichols. Law and Order UK Series 7 is currently shooting, to screen later in the year.
Bradley Walsh’s big screen debut came when he starred in the Brit-hit Mike Bassett: England Manager. He was then honoured to be asked to work with Palm D’Or winner Ken Loach on a short film entitled Happy Endings which was commissioned to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival.
As a presenter, Bradley’s hosting credits are extensive. From The National Lottery on BBC 1 to The Big Stage on Channel 5 and Shoot The Messenger on The Paramount Channel. Bradley currently presents The Chase on ITV 1 which started as a two week pilot run and became an instant cult classic. Now well in to filming for the seventh series, The Chase fast became one of ITV’s most popular shows. In 2011 a prime time spin-off series aired called The Celebrity Chase which Bradley also hosted. This was so successful it was instantly re-commissioned. You can currently catch Series 6 of The Chase on ITV1 at 5pm, Monday – Friday.
Bradley has also played host to the celebs on the Saturday night game show Odd One In, where he was quiz master to regular panellists Peter Andre and Jason Manford, plus a host of celebrity guests.
Bradley Walsh has twice enjoyed playing at Old Trafford and Wembley as part of the England team for “Soccer Aid”, raising money for UNICEF. Bradley is a patron of The Make a Wish Foundation. In January 2012 Walsh cycled from North France to Portugal to raise money for Sane, the UK mental health charity.
