Spontaneous Poetry Entertainer
With decades of experience of performing his spontaneous poetry all around the world, Judge is guaranteed to give you a show to remember… In luxury hotels and restaurants from London to Hong Kong to New Zealand, and in theatres and festivals throughout Britain, Europe, America and Australasia, this unique performer has created magical memories for every kind of audience. He has even entertained royalty at Windsor Castle.
Judge was on BBC1’s “The ONE Show” – winning the “Poem Idol” competition, beating Robert Webb (of Mitchell and Webb) and Elvis McGonnaghall (former Poetry Slam World Champion)!
His talents have been sought after and he has entertained, among others, Queen Elizabeth II (four times) and Prince Charles, Nelson Mandela, King Hussein of Jordan, Bjorn Borg and Jackie Stewart.
Judge’s show is absolutely unique. He takes suggestions from the audience – any words, ideas or concepts they may wish. He then immediately recites for them a rhyming, enjoyable and understandable poem that links all that they said. The poems can be funny or serious, depending on the mood and wishes of the audience.
Whatever happens, it is sure to be highly memorable and talked about for a long time to come!
The show is enjoyed by young and old. Even people who think they “don’t like poems” are amazed and entertained by Judge’s unique skills and amusing words. This spontaneous poetry show can be done either as a cabaret or mix and mingle performance. It has to be seen to be believed…
Standard Length of Performance:
Cabaret: 20-25 minutes
Mix and Mingle: Upto 3 hours
Judge can also put on poetry workshops. These can be fun, entertaining, stimulating and/or serious – depending on the audience and setting. They can be a party game for the crowd who want “something different” or an ice- breaker/break-out session during an away-day or conference. They can be just for a laugh or genuinely to inspire people and get them thinking, creating and being more imaginative.
The Poetry Workshop format goes something like this:
First Judge performs some Spontaneous Poems; some words/ideas are chosen and Judge creates some poems with the audience. Following this more words/ideas are chosen and the audience are assigned the task of writing their own poems individually or in groups (with Judge there to help when required). When the audience are ready if there is time and desire, some of these poems can be read out and reviewed. Judge then closes with a spontaneous poem on the words/ideas of the day.
These sessions always get people thinking – in a relaxed and entertaining way. So, whether it is just for fun or to reinforce the message of the event, they are a unique and special experience.
Standard Length of Activity:
The recommended durations are 30 minutes, one hour or one and a half hours – but they could be anything from 20 minutes to 2 hours. It depends on the number of people present and what they want to “achieve”.

We came back to a pile of highly complimentary letters about your good self. Well done! I’m sure our paths will cross again.
I do not think that the evening at Chequers would have been such a phenomenal success had it not been for your fantastic contribution. Your poetry was admired and appreciated by all. I have been to many events and never have I seen a performance like yours. You were very impressive and left a lasting impression on all of our guests.
Judge, I wish we’d had you here on our first programme. And I wish we’d kept you here!

The adidas team were extremely pleased with Judge and the performances he delivered. He had a great work ethic and professional manner, whilst also delivering funny, interesting and spontaneous performances. He was a great asset to our event and really interacted well with the attendees, welcoming their random and obscure contributions to his poems! I will definitely be recommeding him to the adidas team and my colleagues in case we ever require something similar in the future. I hope he enjoyed the experience too!…. Thank you for your help again in his booking for the event.
