Helen – Guiness World Record Face Painter | UK
Helen is a professional artistic face & body painter based near Bristol and Bath in the South West of England. Ever popular with children and the young at heart – Helens face painting designs range from the traditional full faces and smaller cheek art through to more intricate fantasy makeup suitable for masked balls and grown-up occasions.
With more than five years experience, Helens face painting expertise has been recognised with many awards and two World Records. If required at promotional events, logos or insignia can be quickly created with the use of face paints through stencils which are made in-house. Helen can also theme work to a colour scheme or create specific designs for your promotion.
Helen also creates colourful temporary tattoos and henna tattoos! By using professional theatrical makeup products she can create the walking wounded with realistic bruises and a variety of gruesome wounds. Helen is also an experienced balloon modeller and offers a range of workshops for children and adults to explore the fun of balloon modelling, face painting and casualty effects makeup. Each workshop is tailored to the clients learning requirements.
Face Painting can either be static with a table set up to draw the participants and on-lookers or can roam from table to table or entertain a queue with walkabout kits.
In 2006, Helen took part in two face painting team world records – both of which were achieved! The criteria for these challenges were to paint full faces (covering from forehead to chin and to both ears) using at least three colours applied with a brush and sponge. On 3rd June 2006, at Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire, Helen worked with four other face painters who together painted 409 faces in one hour to achieve the Guinness World Record. The event was organised as a fundraiser for the Rainbow Childrens Trust Charity and was sponsored by SNAZAROO Ltd. Helen was part of the team of five face painters that painted 1071 faces in four hours to help raise money for the BBC Children in Need appeal on the 17th November 2006. The event was held at BBC Birminghams studios at The Mailbox and was once again generously sponsored by SNAZAROO Ltd.
Helen loves to paint and only uses safe professional face paints approved for use on childrens sensitive skin. Helen aims to provide a high quality service and is an award winning face and body painting artist and a member of The Face Painting Association. CRB available upon request.
