Book The Boot Scraping Band
The Boot Scraping Band use the instruments of the 1920’s such as a sousaphone, banjo and drums whilst playing current chart hit. This fun 1920’s band seek to elevate their performance from a ground-based level, quite radical, they are sure you’ll agree. With their own unique versions, they play songs you know and some you may not!
Using the trade jazz instrumentation of sousaphone, banjo, sax and percussion they seek to do what the trade jazz musicians were doing way back by playing the popular music of the day.
The Boot Scraping Band perform completely acoustically, requiring no amplification or stage, preferring instead to mingle with the audience – serenading, flattering, surprising and seducing their listeners as they go. Learning their trade directly from the streets, they have transferred the showmanship and spontaneity to the professional realm.
Why have such stomping 1920’s instrumentation and then play tunes that are almost 70, or more years old? The Boot Scraping Band will tackle all form and genres, such as heavy metal, disco, soul, grunge and regular cheesy pop tunes. This is what they love doing, and all with beautiful 3 part singing harmonies!

I saw your performance earlier today in Peterborough – simply awesome. My 2 year old son was absolutely transfixed and the crowd was full of smiles and tapping feet !
Just to let you know that I had a debrief with the client, last week, and you were mentioned as one of the major highlights of the day, so thanks again for all your hard work, on the day/evening, and I look forward to working with you again soon.
Thanks to you and your team for a great night. Everyone really enjoyed your stuff and I could not have expected anything more.
