Our Credentials: Contraband sends out around 6,000 artistes to approximately 1,500 events every year, across the UK and globally. Contraband recently was awarded Best Global Corporate Talent & Entertainment Agency & Most Innovative Corporate Event Planners Winner 2015 (Global Product & Service Awards 2015). Contraband was crowned the Scoot National Headline Award UK Champion 2014. About our Founder Miss Archie Archer:
Contraband started life when Archie sold all her worldly possessions on a second hand market stall in 1995 and flew to India with an empty rucksack and a £1,000 to set up a company. From a Princes Trust loan to Shell Livewire Regional Finalist 1997 to NatWest Everywoman Athena Winner 2011, Archie has grown her company from market stall to manufacturer, importer / exporter, online mail order company to the global corporate Talent & Entertainment booking agency Contraband is today, supplying over 6,000 artistes and performers at over 1,000 events at year, employing 10 full time staff and with a turnover in excess of £2.6m. Archie has been named as one of the top 100 most influential people in the events industry by Event Magazine in 2015, 2013, 2012 & 2011.
Miss Archie Archer was chosen by the show producers to be the Business Expert on the events Task week 6 to appear on the BBC2 “The Apprentice: You're Fired” with over 9m viewers. Have a look at Archie's take on the task.

Insurance, Risk Assessments & Equipment:
All of our artists that we work with have individual PLI’s to suit their act. We can provide our clients with these on request for each event. Risk assessments can also be provided and any acts that may require technical certificated such as PAT testing are also available on request. If the event is more complex we will work with our performers on a more detailed risk assessments, schedules and method statement.
